The iconic DJ, Tim Westwood has been accused of sexually inappropriate behaviour. Allegedly he behaved opportunistically and predatorily towards three Black women. And 4 other woman have also come forward claiming he groped them at events.
Westwood, 64-year-old well known in the music industry for his freestyle sessions that feature superstar artists such as Rihanna and Kanye West says it's absolutely untrue to allegations against him and even questions how these allegations came about with no complaints filed during his career over 50 years.
He says this upcoming BBC Documentary which features these accusations will be disturbing because there is no evidence to back up any claims made against him; so we'll just have to wait until the show airs tonight on BBC Three (April 26, 2022) in order to see if there will be anything incriminating revealed.
An unnamed woman claimed that Tim had taken advantage of his power in the music industry to sexually abuse her.
When they were still just friends, Tim allegedly touched her inappropriately until she made clear that this wasn't okay, then she described a second instance where Paul showed up without clothes and tried to make moves on her again.
A different unnamed woman claims that there was something inappropriate about Tim's demeanour from the beginning- he promised all sorts of benefits for doing what he wanted for 3 months before taking away anything promised- something seemed wrong about it right off the bat. This pattern continued, so when this particular girl found herself staying at Tim's house during one weekend assignment - everything came crashing down soon enough. It turned ugly is how this woman described the events that unfolded; she drove home feeling confused and distressed thinking about what had happened but couldn't go back or say anything since other people would most likely take credit for what they've done wrong.
On Tuesday, said he is fully aware of the accusations against him and that they are all untrue.
Westwood addressed these latest sexual assault allegations against him claiming every accusation made against him has been disproven through research.
Westwood outright denies these new allegations coming from a recent interview with Daily Mail; saying every accusation made against me has been disproven through research.
This comes after his denial last Friday where he responded to those accused previous decades ago, asserting there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute based on what 'limited information' was available then. He states we need technology now to prove innocence or guilt instead of human recollection which could conflict with each other based on memories already forgotten or suppressed later due to trauma, reading faces over text messages, Facebook posts and so forth.
