Funke Akindele Steps Up His Campaign for Lagos and Shares Old Memories With Street Kids

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and deputy governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, has drawn conflicting responses as she ramps up her campaign to help the PDP win the 2023 election.

Funke used her Instagram page to share old experiences with street kids, much like certain politicians who post pictures of themselves mingling with the public during election seasons.

Funke appears ecstatic in the photo as she connects with the kids.

The mother of two wrote in the post's caption that children are God's inheritance and a reward from the womb.

"Omo ni Ini Oluwa!" she wrote. Ere re! Omo inu si ni re! Children are the Lord's heritage, and the product of the womb is reward.

Some of her admirers praised her devotion for children, while others criticized her for saying it all for the promotion.
