Eromosele Ebhomele, the chief press secretary to Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker Mudashir Obasa, made the announcement of his firing in a statement. Mogaji's sacking was authorized after a voice vote by members of the House at plenary," the statement stated in part.
The House also elevated three additional senior staff members to the post of Deputy Clerks while confirming Barrister Olalekan Onafeko as the substantive Clerk of the House. Three of the Deputy Clerks have been promoted: Mr. Babs Animashaun, Mr. Taiwo Otun, and Mrs. Adenike Oshinowo.
In 2020, Onafeko was chosen to serve as acting clerk. The recent boat accident on June 8 that resulted in the deaths of roughly 15 persons as well as the recent flooding that was observed in several areas of the State were both concerns brought up by the House earlier during the session.
The lawmakers went on to say that the State's Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, needed to concentrate on finding a solution to the flooding issues.#trending #lagoshouseofassembly #fired
