Jimi Agbaje disputes joining the APC.

Jimi Agbaje, a former PDP candidate for governor, has refuted rumors that he switched parties to the APC. Social media articles claimed that Agbaje had defected to the APC in order to help Bola Tinubu become the president of Nigeria. In a conversation with The PUNCH on Wednesday, Agbaje, however, denied defecting.

Lagos 2023 elections: Jimi Agbaje joins APC... in favor of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the caption of the accompanying image reading, appeared beside the post.

The image was uploaded with a statement that said, "I'm totally back in APC to join our South-West leaders as well as progressive Family and friends in Lagos State. The text is titled 'Awalokan 2023.'"

The Awalokan 2023 is a project that should be supported by people of all ages in the Southwest's hidden corners. On that note, I honestly join the main opposition party and lend my support to the APC. I think the moment has come to support and commend Senator Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his bid to become the next leader of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in the upcoming presidential election.
