A Lagos man was detained for robbing online retailers

 The arrest of Olumide Agboola for robbing internet sellers in the state has been officially announced by the Lagos State Police Command. In a statement released on Monday, the state police public relations officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the suspect's method of operation was to use social media to pretend to be a legitimate customer, place orders, and ask vendors to deliver the items to specific hotels, where he would rob the guests. He declared, "Police officers assigned to the Makinde Division have detained Olumide Agboola, 44, who is well known for defrauding online merchants.

"He was detained following a meticulous investigation that was started after several reports regarding his conduct were received. The suspect's unquestionable identification has been made possible by multiple CCTV footage from the suspect's various crime scenes. "In his most recent operation, the suspect robbed his victim of her Infinix Hot 9 phone and the various textiles, underwear, and singlets she had come to sell, all of which were worth N193,000. The suspect's method of operation was to pretend to be a legitimate customer on social media sites, place orders, and ask vendors to deliver the things to specific hotels, where he would loot the guests. The search for further stolen goods from his earlier operations is still ongoing.
