Commander: Military maintains objectivity and justice for all

Major General Ibrahim Ali, the commander of Operation Safe Haven, has stated that the military will uphold impartiality and justice for all in safeguarding the country. The security of people and property in Plateau, Bauchi, and some areas of southern Kaduna is the responsibility of OPSH, a multitask force. The Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps, and Department of State Security make up this organization, which was founded in 2010. The Mobile Police and the Special Investigations Bureau make up the Police component.

A group from the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue paid Ali a visit on Wednesday in Jos. Ali, who is also the General Officer Commanding the III Division of the Nigerian Army at Rukuba, close to Jos, let them know this. According to him, the OPSH utilized non-kinetic tactics to combat aggressive inclinations that could cause social unrest. He stressed that there is zero tolerance for violations of human rights and that the operation's goal is to improve security so that steady growth and development can take place.

The organization, which Ali praised for its role in reducing violence in communities, will benefit from the meeting, according to Ali, especially in terms of information exchange and quick reaction to security threats. Earlier, Mrs. Olufemi Domkap, the delegation's leader and the organization's project associate, praised OPSH for responding to security concerns based on its reliable information. She said that the group has had a significant impact on persuading social troublemakers to embrace harmony and amity among various ethnic and religious groupings.

Domkap, however, emphasized the necessity to increase women's capacity for "back-door" discussion enhancement during conflict resolution. She urged traditional leaders to receive training in mediation and conflict resolution, noting that communities may achieve lasting peace if they used local dispute resolution procedures.
