Essien, however, criticized Falana for not setting a good example for young attorneys like Effiong during a media interview on Thursday, calling the lawsuit ill-motivated. He claims the lawsuit is an incorrect gospel preached by Falana and his 12 disciples. Such false doctrine cannot convince any legal soul to side with them and their drowning client Inibehe. All we ask is that justice be done, and done quickly. We are patiently waiting. It is clear that Falana and his fellow attorneys don't have Inibehe's best interests in mind. If not, they would have been more interested in showing him how the legal system operates outside of Facebook and other social media, where his law practice is more successful to the point where he has taken on the role of a self-appointed Solicitor General on Facebook. This delusion was what made him foolish enough to dare a valid court presided over by a State Chief Judge.
"All styles of sneaky calumnious attacks against Governor Udom's person and his government have been sparked by his pacifist and tolerant nature. For instance, it is absurd and completely unfounded to claim that the Governor is ordering a security crackdown on opposition voices. "But that itself may be best addressed by the court of public opinion, where every member of the public can witness in Udom, an open and hospitable leader who has shunned political bias in his management of the state. "This may explain why a lawyer, Ekpenyong, could throw caution to the wind and go all out to attack the governor's personality, accusing him of buying some judges' decisions in 2019 to favor Senator Chris Ekpenyong, who had defeated Senator Godswill Akpabio," he said.
