Following surgery, Osinbajo attends his first FEC meeting.

 On Wednesday, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo physically attended the Federal Executive Council meeting. Osinbajo underwent thigh surgery at a hospital in Lagos State, and he is now physically attending the conference for the first time. He took part digitally at the FEC meeting last week. The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, is presiding over the meeting in the State House's Council Chambers (retd.). Laolu Akande, the vice president's spokesperson, thanked Nigerians for their well wishes for the vice president in a post on Facebook where he also revealed his physical participation. He reassured well-wishers that his main goal as vice president was to get stronger and accomplish more for Nigerians. "VP Osinbajo is indeed present at the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting," he wrote.

"Since the surgery and recovery period, he appreciates all the well wishes received from Nigerians and people from all walks of life. He plans to continue getting up and doing more. Boss Mustapha, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Ibrahim Gambari, the President's Chief of Staff, and Maj. Gen. Babagana Mongunu, the National Security Adviser, all present physically at the meeting. Information and Culture, among the ministries in attendance, Abubakar Malami, the federal capital territory's (FCT) attorney general and minister of justice, Mohammed Bello, and Lai Mohammed Environment, Mohammed Abdullahi, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, Youths and Sports, Sunday Dare, Agriculture and Rural Development, Dr. Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, Aviation, Hedi Sirika, Transportation, Mu'azu Jaji Sambo, Isa Patanmi, and Humanitarian Disaster Management and Social Development Affairs. Clement Agba, Ramatu Aliyu, Ademola Adegoroye, and Goodluck Nana-Opia, Ministers of State for Finance, Budget, and National Planning, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Head of the Federation's Service, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, and other ministers are also participating online.
