In Lagos, police detain the "one-chance" gang

 The arrest of two members of a one-chance gang well known for operating in the Funsho Williams Avenue region of the state has been verified by the Lagos State Police Command. Usman Hussani and Ebuka Ukechukwu, according to a statement released on Wednesday by the state police public relations officer SP Benjamin Hundeyin, were detained after a victim who had lost possession of his phone and other valuables made a distress call. "Police officers assigned to the Surulere Division have detained two members of a one-chance gang well known for operating along Funsho Williams Avenue," he declared. Usman Hussani, 21, and Ebuka Ukechukwu, 25, the accused, were detained after receiving a victim's distress call shortly after robbing him of his phone and other belongings.

Two mobile phones, two SIM cards, a Sterling Bank ATM card, a UBA checkbook belonged to Ugochukwu (other names withheld), and a brand-new tricycle with the gang's license plate LSD 360 QN were all found on the suspects. "When investigations are finished, suspects will be brought before a judge. Abiodun Alabi, the state's commissioner of police, urges inhabitants to constantly exercise caution, especially when taking public transportation.
