Mother of dead LAUTECH student: "My daughter's murder was caused by the ASUU strike."

 Rachel Opadele, a student at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, was kidnapped and slain by her kidnapper, and Rachel's mother, Grace Opadele, has blamed this on the current Academic Staff of Union of Universities strike. In order to keep occupied throughout the strike, Opadele, a widow, claimed that her daughter took a job at the hotel. Rachel, who was killed, and hotelier Olugbenga Owolabi were both kidnapped. After a ransom was paid, they were murdered.
