Muslim-Muslim ballots won't influence South-South votes, according to Delta APC

The All Progressives Congress chapter in Delta State has endorsed the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket, claiming that a Muslim-Muslim ticket won't prevent the state and people in the South from supporting the party. Mr. Jones Erue, the party's immediate past state chairman, said as much on Friday. He said that the APC in the state had given the ticket its full support in anticipation of a landslide triumph in the 2023 elections.

In order to deliver the Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket, he said, "Delta APC is working assiduously in concert with essential stakeholders countrywide. The APC in Delta State is firmly committed to running the Tinubu/Shettima ticket in the State during the subsequent presidential election, it must be stressed. The Party is currently mobilizing Deltans to vote in masse for our great Party's presidential candidate, not only its members. I firmly believe that the Tinubu/Shettima ticket has the potential to take the nation to the next stage of economic prosperity, which is something that the nation urgently needs right now.

We urgently need to disabuse our people in the Niger Delta of the idea that the Tinubu/Shettima ticket represents a jihadist plot to eliminate the very existence of Christians in Nigeria, especially in the South-South. Erie, who is the national coordinator of the Progressive Christians for Tinubu-Shettima and the coordinator of Niger Delta Christian Ministers, further guaranteed that the people of the State and the South-South would not be deterred from voting for Tinubu/Shettima by any amount of blackmail or innuendo being spread about the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
He claimed that competence and service delivery, not religious pontifications, were what led to the rise of the Tinubu/Shettima ticket.
