Police kill an ex-offender, and his accomplice is seen robbing on CCTV.

Two robbery suspects who were allegedly terrorizing the people of Apapa, Ajegunle, and the surrounding areas were shot and killed by members of the Lagos State Police Command. According to information obtained by our correspondent, the thugs raided a neighborhood on August 4 and drove several inhabitants out. The Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, shared a closed-circuit television tape of the operation to Twitter. It shows the gang ransacking a store while holding one individual at gunpoint. The police pursued the criminals to their hiding place at Ajegunle, according to Hundeyin, who confirmed the occurrence in a statement. There, a gunfight broke out. Daredevil robbers engaged members of the Area B Command, Apapa, of the Lagos State Police Command in a gunfight in an effort to avoid being apprehended, he claimed.

"The police operatives' overwhelming firepower, however, ultimately defeated the bandits. They were pursued to their hideout in Ajegunle, where they met their demise. The robbers, Sodiq, aka Foreigner, who had just been freed from jail, and Habeeb, aka Kiki, who had both been wanted for terrorizing Ajegunle and its surroundings, were both caught. The burglars left behind one Beretta pistol, one locally produced revolver pistol with four rounds of live 9mm ammo, and one spent shell of ammunition.

The Lagos State Police Command warns youths in particular to stop committing crimes since lawbreakers will eventually be caught, no matter how long it takes. The PPRO commented on the video clip, saying, "The value of CCTV cannot be overstated; it is a huge comfort for the people of Apapa. We won't give up. Observe anything? Declare something.
