The majority leader of the Anambra Assembly has passed away.

 Nnamdi Okafor, the majority leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, has passed away. Before his passing, Okafor, also known as Akajiugo Awka, served as the state Assembly's representative for the Awka South Constituency 1. There are still many unknowns surrounding his passing, however unconfirmed sources claim that the politician died after collapsing early on Wednesday in a hotel in Sandton City, Johannesburg, South Africa. His death was later confirmed. It was reported that the deceased legislators went on a legislative retreat with other state lawmakers. At the time this report was filed, the precise circumstances surrounding his death had not yet been determined.
