The president of Ghana denies writing Tinubu about Obi's campaign.

The president of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has denied asking Bola Tinubu, the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress for president, in a letter to support Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party in the upcoming 2023 presidential elections. Akufo-Addo also said that contrary to what is purportedly said in the letter going around on social media, he never advised Tinubu to seek medical attention for his health.

The president of Ghana, in a message posted on his verified Twitter account, urged people to ignore the false report, saying, "My attention has been drawn to a disturbing post making the rounds on social media, where it is alleged I have written to the 2023 APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to give Peter Obi a chance and seek treatment for his health." This is entirely untrue, malicious, and devoid of any truth at all. "I haven't sent the APC leader a letter like that, and I have no plans to. Ghana and Nigeria have had friendly, solid, and enduring relations for many years, and I won't be the one to meddle in Nigeria's internal issues or political process.
