Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN, the governor of Ondo State, has received condolences from Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the member who represents the Akoko North-East/North-West Federal Constituency in that state. In a statement headlined "Our Deep Condolences," released on Thursday, the chairman of the Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission, Tunji-Ojo, referred to the late Grace Akeredolu as having "second to none" of experience. "No matter how long our loved ones live, a time comes when we must say our goodbyes," the statement said. We can only hope that as they age, they do so in the happiness of a blessed and contented existence."We regret she didn't stay a little bit longer, but Lady Evangelist Grace Akeredolu's passing comes at a bad moment. Her depth of expertise and breadth of knowledge were unparalleled. "I pray that God will grant her everlasting rest and give our dear Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), his siblings, other family members, and the loved ones she left behind the strength to endure this unimaginable loss.
"I extend condolences to the first family on behalf of my family and the good people of Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency." The governor had earlier on Thursday announced the passing of his mother using his verified Twitter account, @RotimiAkeredolu. Akeredolu announced the passing into glory of her mother, Lady Evangelist Grace Bosede Akeredolu, in a series of tweets, writing, "My siblings and I declare, with greatest grief and utter surrender to the will of the Almighty, this morning. She passed away quietly while sleeping. "Although we are heartbroken by the loss of Maami, the Abiyamo we knew, we can find comfort in the knowledge that she will be guided even as she travels into eternity by the powerful hands of the angels of the light she resided in throughout her exciting and productive journey on the terrestrial plane. Rest peacefully, Maami. The family will make a statement regarding the burial.
