Critical: Hazard allowance payments to health workers

Mr. Ayuba Wabba, President of the Nigerian Labor Congress, has urged the Federal Government to start paying the country's health workers' hazard allowances right away. To provide Nigerians with high-quality healthcare, I implore you to learn. The payment of the hazard allowance will improve the nation's health professionals' morale. Without nurses, the healthcare industry will not survive. "You are the lifeblood of the healthcare system; being a nurse requires a mother's heart and compassion.

This is the heart that must characterize our healthcare industry, he remarked. Wabba praised Malam Mohammed Bello, Minister of the FCT, for paying medical staff on time. He demanded that nurses receive higher pay, stating that "a worker who is hungry cannot give adequate health services." Bello praised the importance nurses play in the healthcare system in his own remarks. He demanded that nurses receive higher pay, stating that "a worker who is hungry cannot give adequate health services." Bello praised the importance nurses play in the healthcare system in his own remarks. Nurses ought to be the definition of compassion. Bello stated that in order to develop the health system, they must be supported and protected. In his praise of the FCT nurses' contribution to the COVID-19 pandemic, he said, "For this, we remain eternally grateful." He added that FCT would continue to support the welfare of our healthcare providers, noting that nurses and other health professionals had remained in the forefront of the fight against malaria, chicken pox, and other health challenges. Yusuf Sununu, the chairman of the House Committee on Health Services, also made a demand for improved ties between doctors and nurses in the healthcare industry, calling them as crucial to achieving global health. He expressed surprise that more than 1,700 nurses had departed the nation in search of what he called "greener pastures" and praised those who had chosen to remain and support the nation's healthcare system. He asked nurses to treat patients with respect and urged patients to do the same.

He added that some patients were unhappy with the behavior they encountered at hospitals and "said they would rather die at home than in the hospital." "Words heal faster than medicine, so it will bode well if we can change the way we think about patients. According to Mr. Nnachi Michael, the national president of NANNM, the nurses work in a highly challenging environment, which is why they frequently discuss brain drain. The House Committee on Health Services' head, Yusuf Sununu, also called for stronger relationships between physicians and nurses in the healthcare sector, describing them as essential to achieving global health. He expressed surprise that more than 1,700 nurses had left the country in search of what he called "greener pastures" and commended those who had remained and supported the healthcare system of the country. In addition to requesting that nurses treat patients with respect, he also urged patients to do so. Some patients, he continued, "stated they would sooner die at home than in the hospital" due to the treatment they received from medical staff. "Words heal more quickly than medicine, thus it will be beneficial if we can alter the way that we view patients.
