Nigerian rapper M.I Abaga weds Eniola Mafe in a traditional ceremony.

On Thursday, M.I. Abaga, a rapper, and Eniola Mafe, his heartthrob, exchanged vows in a traditional ceremony. The couple shared images and videos from their traditional wedding ceremony on Instagram.

A video from the occasion was also put online by the groom's pal Vanjaydee with the comment, "The Guy is taken. I wish M.I. Abaga and Eniola a joyful marriage.

On April 3, the 40-year-old rapper declared his engagement through Instagram.

“So.. I wanted to let everyone know that @EniolaMafe and I are now engaged. I usually keep things like this to myself, but I wanted to express my happiness to you all. Say a prayer for us—we'll need it! I appreciate your help," he wrote.

Jude Lemfani Abaga, better known by his stage name M.I. Abaga, was born in Nigeria on October 4, 1981. When his song "Crowd Mentality" became well-known in Jos, Nigeria, in 2006, he gained notoriety. Talk About It, his first studio album, was released in 2008. MI 2: The Movie succeeded the LP (2010). He released The Chairman, his third studio album, four years later. In February 2018, Abaga released the playlist Rendezvous. He released his fourth studio album, A Study On Self Worth: Yxng Dxnzl, in August of that year.

From 2015 through 2019, Abaga led Chocolate City as its CEO. He announced his departure from the label in March 2020 and established his own record company, Incredible Music.

He was nominated for Best International Act at the 2010 BET Awards and won Best Hip Hop and Best New Act at the 2009 MTV Africa Music Awards.

In Plateau State's Jos, Jude was born. His parents, Pastor and Mrs. Abaga, are both Jukun-Nigerian natives of Takum, Taraba state. He went to Baptist High School in Jos, where his mother bought him a 7-key little piano that got him started in the music industry. Jason Abaga and Jesse Jagz, who are both musicians in the Nigerian and African music scenes, are Jude's two brothers. Jude listened to music by Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Sarah Maclachlan, Pablo Neruda, Jay-Z, and DMX during his adolescence.

Jude's foray into the hip hop scene began in 1998 with the sampling of songs by DMX and Lauryn Hill. After attending Calvin College in Michigan, he pursued a career in business and economics while also writing poems. He frequently played there at important hip hop performances and concerts held at the school. He came in third place at the only "hip hop show" Calvin College has held, dubbed "Hip Hopera," in 2003 thanks to his impressive rap flows and attitude. Attempts at comedy were also made by M.I., but he preferred to stick to music since he felt ashamed when no one else laughed.
