PDP adopts a grassroots strategy for the 2023 election

 The Peoples Democratic Party's electioneering effort for the general election of 2023 will take a grassroots strategy. This was said by the PDP's national publicity secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, at the conclusion of the party's National Working Committee meeting in Abuja.According to Ologunagba, the party also approved a uniform campaign structure for its nationwide general election campaign. At its 97th meeting, the NWC, according to him, discussed preparations for the 2023 general election as well as important matters of national importance. "NEC overwhelmingly empowered the NWC to alter and amend the structures of the campaign councils as and when necessary, while also approving the structure for campaign councils at the state, local government, ward, and unit levels. In order to ensure that our party presents a united front before the general elections in 2023, the NEC received and approved the proposed structure for the Zonal Reconciliation Committees to be established.In order to evaluate the PDP manifesto in front of the general election in 2023, the NEC also received and approved its content, the speaker added. The national publicity secretary stated that the NEC also urged the party faithful to stick together as they support the PDP's victory in the general election in 2023. He claimed that in addition to other things, NEC also bemoaned the situation of the nation's economy and the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Ologunagba said that the National Executive Committee (NEC) unanimously approved a vote of confidence in the party's National Working Committee, which is chaired by Iyorchia Ayu, for efficiently running the party's activities.Sen. Walid Jibrin, the PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, resigned, and Sen. Adolphus Wabara, the BoT Secretary, was nominated to serve in his place, according to him. NEC also approved Jibrin's resignation. According to him, "NEC commended Jibrin for his dedication and commitment toward the unity, stability, and success of the Party at all times and urged him to not relent in his service to the Party and the Nation at large." According to Ologunagba, the NEC congratulated the party and Sen. Ademola Adeleke, the newly elected governor of Osun, on the PDP's victory in the July 16 governorship election. He stated, "NEC unanimously endorsed the party's list of candidates as provided to the INEC by the NWC."
