Tolanibaj, a reality star from Big Brother Naija's fifth season, is celebrating her birthday on October 20 with two blessings. As she enters the DJing industry, the reality star is poised to challenge DJ Cuppy and other female DJs.
On her Instagram feed, the YouTuber made the announcement a few hours ago.
Tolanibaj said she was eager to tell them the good news.
"What a surprise! It's my birthday, and I'm thrilled to finally tell you all that I'm a DJ now, among other things.
Tolani Baj revealed early on in the year how awful it had been for her to work for a well-known record company.
Timi Ajiboye had previously stated that Nigerian employers own salaries and get away with a lot of bullshit, which prompted this.
In part because most workers don't have alternative options, Nigerian employers get away with a lot of nonsense (such owing salaries indefinitely). Even if you leave, there will probably be someone else who will put up with such treatment.
Tolanibaj responded by praising him for speaking up in response to this. She described how she lost her record label job as a result of standing up for her rights.
She penned,
“Yes! I appreciate you speaking up. I lost my job at a record company in Nigeria because I spoke up for my rights.
Since I had been due money for months, I quit working and sent an email pleading for my money. The music industry attempted to silence me by disguising the primary cause of my termination.
Recalls how Cuppy had demonstrated her DJing abilities with pride at Old Trafford.
Cuppy referred to Old Trafford as the "Theatre of Dreams" and said that her fee had recently increased as a result of the opportunity to DJ at Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium in the English Premier League.
She penned;
"I'm incredibly honored to DJ in the Theatre of Dreams, the Old Trafford, as a supporter of @ManchesterUnited! My outfit is arguably the most exciting thing that has happened to us all season, hence my price just went up. #GGMU #ToCuppyThisTune"
