Drama as the EFCC apprehends a DJ for allegedly impersonating a portable

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) agents have detained a disc jockey named Famotemi Toluwani Timothy for allegedly imitating the contentious hip-hop artist Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable. Timothy, an Igede-Ekiti native who lives in the Ifelodun Local Government Area of Ekiti State, is accused of creating a fake Instagram account called "Zazu Omolalomi Portable" and posing as the singer. Wilson Uwajuaren, the EFCC's head of media and publicity, said that the suspect met Adebayo Adedimeji Lukman, the owner of a club in Offa, Kwara State, on social media and described himself as Portable. He agreed to perform at the club for N1 million, with 80% of the money due up front.

According to reports, the victim transferred $790,000 into a bank account number that the suspect gave her. The self-described Portable, though, did not attend the earlier-this-year celebration. He then cut off the victim's access to all communication channels.
