Funke Akindele is greeted as she storms Alimosho by "incoming" Nkechi Blessing and others.

Nkechi Blessing, a star in Nollywood, praised Funke Akindele, a senior colleague, for her commitment to improving Lagos State. Funke Akindele, a PDP candidate for deputy governor, recently invaded Alimosho. The actress has been running multiple campaigns since announcing her political ambitions in July, much to the surprise of many. During her most recent campaign, she and her team invaded the marketplaces and streets of Alimosho.

Funke Akindele shared images of the delightful occasion on her Instagram page and yearned for their enjoyment.

“Alimosho was agog today as we took the PDP campaign tour to our people in that territory. I was so delighted to see how excited the people of Alimosho are for a positive change.

We crave your indulgence, please give Jandor and I this chance of handling the affairs of Lagos State and we promise we will make you all proud.

Your vote is your night! Vote Dr. Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor) for Governor”.

Taking to her comment section, Nkechi Blessing, Samuel Olatunji, Chita Ice and Starboy Temidayo all hailed her.

Nkechi Blessing wrote, “Incoming”

Samuel Olatunji wrote, “Excellency raised to 100!

Chita Oxe wrote, “The Lord is ur strength Amen.

Starboy Temidayo wrote, “Movement to success IJN”

Funke earlier invaded Ikorodu, Lagos State, for her formal introduction as the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) candidate for governor, Azeez Olajide Adediran, commonly known as Jandor. She captured the throng of people from Lagos who descended upon Ikorodu to watch the party formally introduce her. In anticipation of the general elections in 2023, the ecstatic audience poured into the streets to support Funke and Jandor. Happy with the response, Funke Akindele posted on Instagram:

“We were welcomed with warmth and joy in Ikorodu, my father-land as Dr Azeez Olajide Adediran #Jandor officially unveiled me as the PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate of Lagos State”.

Funke Akindele announced her selection as Jandor's running mate for the upcoming general elections in 2023 weeks ago on her social media website. Funke Akindele said she was prepared to accept the temporary setback to her career in the Nollywood business that comes with joining politics.
