Hermes laments after visiting his mother for the first time since leaving the BBNaija house that she cannot speak.

Hermes Iyele, a Big Brother Naija 'Level Up' housemate, described a touching experience when he saw his mother for the first time after leaving the BBNaija home. Hermes, who released videos of his mother recovering at an undisclosed facility in Nigeria, bemoaned the fact that she was unable to speak when she saw him and appeared to be unaware of his identity. He did however say that she is doing much better than when he last saw her. In addition, he referred to his mother as his rock and said he couldn't wait to welcome her home once she was fully recovered.

‘My Mama, she is my rock. 🌹’, he wrote as he shared clips of his mother.

Hermes was one of the most adored residents while they lived together. The reality personality quickly captivated Nigerians' hearts with his hustler attitude. There was no question that Nigerians admired individuals who hustled and took on numerous jobs to support themselves. Hermes is one of these because he has been seen in the music videos of various Nigerian singers. Many people were shocked to learn that the reality star was one of the dancers for the music videos for Burna Boy's Vanilla, Zinoleesky's Kilofeshe, and Buju's Finesse as well as the Davido and Focalistic "Ke Star" remix. Many people had fallen in love with the reality star because of this new information. He was compared by Nigerians to Liquorose, a dancer and reality star from Shine ya eyes. Hermes had revealed how his name had come to be.

Hermes claimed that both he and his siblings had godly names. In one of his post-eviction interviews, the performance artist claimed that his father named all four of them after various gods. He proclaimed that the name "Hermes" was given to him by his father at birth and not a stage name. My father named us four after gods. My two brothers are Akhnaton and Kuthumi, while my sister is Isis. Hermes is my real name,” he said.  Hermes is an Olympian deity who is known as the herald of the gods in ancient Greek mythology and religion. He is also regarded as the guardian of human messengers, travelers, thieves, businesspeople, and orators.
