Oluwagbadura claimed that the officers led him to a POS at at 3:44 p.m. and took N100,000 of his "hard-earned money." "After searching me and not finding anything, they took my phone and business laptop and labeled me a yahoo boy," he claimed. "My offence," they claimed, "is that I do not have a freelancer ID card. They went through my phone. For communicating with my buddies on WhatsApp, they referred to me as a criminal. "They made threats to shoot me and imprison me! They then drove me a short distance to their station, where they forced me to confess to being a criminal. Oluwagbadura added that the police requested him to write a statement and that he afterwards signed the necessary paperwork to post bail after continuing to deny having committed any crimes.
I paid N2,000 for charges (which was a screenshot) after transferring N100,000 to the POS vendor. There were six cops, he claimed, and one of them threatened to deal with him in a cell without doing anything. He claimed that some of them, including the one who served as their leader, were muftis. "At the Soliki Aguda Police Divisional Headquarters, all of these events took place. Please help me get justice and get my money back," he tweeted. Around 7.46 p.m., the complaint was tweeted, and at 10.36 p.m., Oluwagbadura tweeted once more to express his gratitude to everyone who had assisted in spreading his complaints, First of all, many thanks to everyone who sent in a tweet. My money was fully refunded. Special acknowledgements go to @SavvyRinu, @BenHundeyin (the police spokesman in Lagos), @segalink, and the DPO, who was quite courteous, he added.
