Nigerian actor and comedian John Ikechukwu Okafor, better known by his stage name Mr. Ibu, was born on October 17, 1961. One of Nigeria's most gifted and well-paid comic actors is known as Okafor. His comedic performances are frequently characterized by utter idiocy, amusing incompetence, and a stark separation from reality.
He is from Enugu State's Nkanu West L.G.A. After finishing primary school in 1974, Okafor relocated to Sapele to live with his brother following the death of his father. He worked odd jobs in Sapele to pay for his education and provide for his family. He then started a photography business, worked as a hairstylist, and was employed by a firm that made crates. He got accepted into the Yola College of Education after secondary school but dropped out owing to financial issues. As soon as he could afford it, he later enrolled in the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu.
