Olori Mariam, the wife of Ooni, receives money at her wedding reception.

On Sunday, October 16, Olori Mariam Anako Ogunwusi, the queen of Ife Kingdom, was the center of attention at her wedding celebration. As the first Queen entered the dance floor dressed in her royal robes, all eyes were on her. The Queen was surrounded by numerous dignitaries who showered her with cash. The Ooni and Olori Mariam celebrated their wedding celebration while Ile-Ife was closed. In Ile Ife, Osun State, the royal wedding took place amid fanfare and spectacle. The King and his Queen were seen entering the wedding location in style in the videos that City People TV uploaded online.

The well-known white wedding gown with veil was worn by Olori Mariam. Recall that the marriage of the Ife Kingdom's King in September was a momentous occasion. In July, rumors began to circulate that the Ooni was close to marrying Mariam Anako after reconciling with his estranged wife, prophetess Naomi. The pair was captured on camera enjoying a marriage event. Princess Adesola Ogunwusi Shoremekun, one of the Ooni's siblings, had graciously welcomed her.

She was welcomed into the Ile Oodua Palace in Ile-Ife by her mother and other members of her family from the states of Kogi and Kwara. The Ife Traditional Council members, led by the Obalufe of Ife, Oba Idowu Adediwura, and the Lowa Adimula of Ife, High-Chief Adekola Adeyeye, were the first to greet her. She introduced herself to the Ogunwusi family and the husband after the Isoros (chief priests) conducted the requisite traditional and spiritual procedures. The new Queen already has a profile on Instagram where she refers to herself as the Monarch's wife.
