Harrysong, a Nigerian singer, has spoken out since his detention.
A few hours earlier, news outlets reported that Harrysong had been detained by Nigerian authorities upon his arrival in Lagos.
The musician was pulled up by police officials from the Lagos State Police command, according to Linda Ikeji blog, which first reported the story.
According to the website, the musician landed in Nigeria this morning and was pulled up at the airport by the police.
According to police sources who spoke to the newspaper, he will be questioned about the incident and, depending on the conclusion of their investigation, may be freed or kept in custody longer.
Harrysong posted an update on his Instagram story to announce his arrest.
He described how his phone was taken from him and how he was detained as soon as he arrived in Lagos.
The performer asserted that he isn't permitted to contact his people.
Through his management, who are in charge of his social media profiles, Harrysong announced this.
"I was detained as soon as I landed in Lagos, my phone was taken, and they won't let me contact my people."
His continuous conflict with music entrepreneur Soso Soberekon is the reason for the unexpected arrest.
Recall that during an appearance on the Frankly Speaking podcast, which is co-hosted by comedian Nedu, Harrysong made a charge against Soso.
The Reggae Blues singer bemoaned the problem of phony friendships in the Nigerian entertainment industry throughout the show.
Most of the people who Harrysong considers to be his friends, in his opinion, are actually out to bring him down.
When asked about his connection with Soso, he remarked, "Actually, those are my actual adversaries. You'll say Soso is my friend if you saw him right now. Soso is not my ally; instead, he is my adversary. No joking, he dispatched people to kill me in Port Harcourt. Ask my group and everyone else.
Harrysong responded, "I have evidence, I have films, and I have images," when asked if he had any evidence to back up the claims.
"This is serious. You'll assert that he is or is not your friend. He intends to murder me.
In response to the accusations made against him, Soso Soberekon sued Harrysong and asked for N500 million in damages for harming his reputation.
The suit didn't bother Harrysong, who criticized him on his Instagram story.
He claimed that the music industry executive was allowed to react to his accusations in an interview.
Harrysong continued by bodyshaming the man.
