Davido made a straightforward request to God on October 20, when he and his wife, Chioma, celebrated the third birthday of their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
He pleaded with God to let the boy become greater than he is in an Instagram prayer.
I beg God to grant you pure happiness and perfect health for as long as it is humanly possible.Happy birthday, son @davidifeanyiadeleke! You will surpass me!The artist wrote.
However, ten days later, God came up with a different plan.The boy's parents, friends, and family were devastated when he drowned and took him away.
The tragic death of Ifeanyi brought back memories of a similar incident, the drowning of Dbanj's one-year-old son by accident.
In June of 2018, the incident occurred at Dbanj's Lagos residence.
When word of Ifeanyi Adeleke's death spread throughout Lagos on Monday, it sparked outrage and anguish.

@Realofficialyemi said that if Nigerian celebrities learned their lessons well, there wouldn't be another tragedy like it.
He stated, "Same thing that happened to D banj son. I suggest that this artist should not have swimming pools in their homes once they start having children... sorry for thé loss OBO."
