"Divorce is not something to celebrate." Justin Dean insults Korra Obidi, his ex-wife

 Nigerian-American dancer Korra Obidi's ex-husband Justin Dean criticized her for celebrating their divorce. Social media was used by Korra to announce her divorce from him. Justin blamed her, saying divorce wasn't something to be happy about because it was a failure. But he added that while he doesn't advise people to stay in a poisonous or unhappy marriage, they shouldn't rejoice in their divorce either.

“Marriage is something that should be a do or a die affair. When people get divorce, that’s nothing to celebrate, that’s failure and I hate failure. So if you are celebrating a divorce, personally I think that it means everyone loses. I am not saying you should stay in a toxic relationship and unhappy marriage”.

Days after Korra ecstatically went live on Facebook to celebrate her recent victory and independence, he finally responded. Despite the divorce, Korra said she is open to reconciling with her ex-spouse for the benefit of the kids. Speaking of her potential future love, Korra indicated that she still hopes to find it and that this wouldn't be the end of her search. She believed that love was a lovely thing and would not let her past failures stop her.

Korra had already given the public an update on her protracted divorce. Korra reported that Justin Dean, her ex-husband, was requesting child custody as well as spousal maintenance. The mother of two vented her frustration with the never-ending turmoil on her Facebook page, breaking down in tears. Korra claimed that despite her best efforts, she had lost the belief in peaceful co-parenting. She asserted that her spouse is requiring her to pay spousal support. She claims that her attorney contacted her to inform her of his action. Korra bemoaned the fact that her ex hasn't helped out financially with the kids' care, school expenses, or health insurance. The dancer continued by saying that Justin had requested full custody of the children but had been turned down.
