Mr Ibu's Daughter, Jasmine Okafor Announces End Of Her 9 Month Old Marriage

Jasmine Okafor, the daughter of veteran Mr Ibu, has announced her divorce from her 9-month-old husband.

The content creator announced this on her Instagram page just moments ago.

Jasmine admitted that her husband had lied to her about his previous marriage and children.

She claims she had no idea he had been married and had three grown children.

Despite admitting that their marriage was happy, she stated that his lie destroyed it.

She recalled questioning him about his personal life before they married.

Jasmine revealed that she discovered the lie from his mother, and it broke her heart.

"These were the best nine months of my life!" I have absolutely no regrets! I just won't stop asking you about it several times before we start! Finding out from your num today broke me! A foundation built on a tiny lie will crumble! I adore the way you treated me! But I'm disappointed that you never mentioned your divorce or children to me! Moving on, I don't believe I want anyone else! I'll just love you from afar."

In February, wedding bells rang at the home of Nigerian actor John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu.

The comic actor was planning to marry his daughter to her US-based lover.

Jasmine Okafor said "Yes" to her lover, whom she met on the video-sharing platform TikTok, in a video that went viral on social media.

Jasmine told her love story, revealing how their paths crossed on the app two months ago.

She revealed how he flew from the United States to Nigeria to propose to her.

Jasmine used her story to demonstrate how a true gentleman would not waste a lady's time.

That same month, the couple was set to walk down the aisle.

"We met on TikTok two months ago!" He gave me a TikTok gift! We're getting married this month. For the first time, he flew from the United States to Africa! Simply to marry me. A true gentleman will not waste your time."

Jasmine Okafor recounted how her husband flew in from the United States to propose to her in a video posted on her TikTok page.

She described how they met on TikTok and how, two months later, he left his country to propose to her in Gambia.

He proposed to her four days after they first met, according to her, and she accepted.

Jasmine revealed that they married 24 days after his proposal and are now expecting twin girls.
