Popular Nigerian Gospel singer, Sammie Okposo is dead.
According to News, the 51-year-old music producer collapsed and died on Friday morning.
This comes just a few months after the musician was embroiled in a terrible cheating scandal, which forced him to step down from his ministerial duties.
It will be remembered that a lady known as African Doll said that she was pregnant for gospel musician Sammie Okposo.
Sammie Okposo, the 'wellu wellu' musician, issued a public apology to his wife, Ozioma, after cheating on her with another woman in the United States.
Okposo expressed regret for the incident, which occurred in 2021, in an apology sent to his Instagram account.
"Dear Friends, I need to bring a very bad occurrence to your attention as I am not proud of it but believe that this is the correct thing to do," the apology continues.
The Gospel singer went on to say that the development has caused him to take away from ministry activity until he is "fully restored."
"During my recent trip to the United States (late 2021), I became intimately involved with a lady, despite the fact that I was a married man and a minister of the gospel." I am ashamed and regret my acts, which have caused a great deal of sorrow to my lovely wife, Ozioma, my family, and me.
"As I work toward reconciliation with God, repentance, and forgiveness, I am suspending myself from all ministry activities until full restoration, as this is proper and what I know I owe God and His people."
