Security personnel stop a bullion van robbery in Anambra.

 A bullion vehicle was attacked in Ufuma, Orumba South Local Government Area, of Anambra State by some unidentified attackers. According to information obtained, the event took place late on Thursday when the bullion van was transporting cash to an unspecified location. According to reports, the attackers followed the bullion van and its security personnel to the rural town of Ufuma, where they opened fire on the truck and the security personnel who were riding in it. An eyewitness said, “It happened on Thursday at about 5pm, and there was serious shooting in the area. "While security personnel attached to the bullion van engaged the armed thieves, all residents of the community escaped. They could not succeed because of the police.

The armed guys were finally driven back, according to DSP Toochukwu Ikenga, the state police spokesperson, who confirmed the occurrence. According to Ikenga, the robbers' Lexus and Highlander jeeps were found, along with charms, a bulletproof vest that had been damaged, one empty magazine, and other potentially incriminating materials. Those working for the bullion van bravely repulsed the assault.
