2023: Nigeria needs a deliverer, not a leader - Bishop Oyedepo

As the 2023 general election approaches, Bishop David Oyedepo, Senior Pastor of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, says Nigeria needs a deliverer, not a leader.

On Thursday, December 8, he said this during a sermon at the ongoing Shiloh program at the church's

Lamenting the country's deplorable state of security and economic crises, the clergyman said he warned Nigerians in 2015 that the country was on the verge of a crisis.

"I believe the spirit is prompting me to pray for this nation." When I warned this country in 2015 that we were on the verge of a crisis and trauma, many people covered their mouths. They are not working today.

God does not require unanimous agreement to raise a prophet. I cried because I saw a nation sinking. Many politicians act as prophets, saying whatever they want to hear.

I've been deafeningly quiet. What we need now is a deliverer, not a leader," he explained.
