Davido has been spotted in Qatar ahead of his FIFA closing ceremony performance.

Following the death of his son in October, the singer made his second public appearance at the World Cup. He was seen with Stone Bwoy, a singer, and Ghana Black Stars assistant coach, George Boateng.

Davido is set to perform at the closing ceremony, his first since the death of his don, Ifeanyi Adeleke. 

The internet erupted with joy after hearing about his performance in Qatar, according to reports.

Stephen Hung, a Chinese businessman, announced the good news on his official Instagram story. He claimed that the singer had confirmed that he would close the World Cup ceremony.

Stephen Hung expressed his eagerness to see him and stated that he can't wait to see him.

"I'm overjoyed that my bro @davido has confirmed he will perform at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. I can't wait to see him".

Confirming the reports, Davido's bestfriend, Cubana Chief Priest, revealed that the singer would be performing at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

Cubana expressed his delight at his performance on his Instagram page.

"2022 FIFA World Cup. I'm very excited about Africa. Mi bestie @davido FIFA Boy.

OBO is on his way. Joy is on its way. It's Africa Time".

Davido made his first public appearance on Sunday, November 26th, at his uncle's inauguration ceremony.

In a video posted online by Cubana Chief Priest, the singer was spotted smiling. His first public appearance confirmed his marriage to his sweetheart, Chioma Rowland, as the singer was seen wearing a wedding ring.








David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992) is an American-Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer better known by his stage name Davido. His music incorporates traditional African elements as well as global mainstream pop.

Davido received the Next Rated Award at The Headies in 2012 after the release of "Dami Duro," the second single from his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo (2012). He had several hit singles between 2013 and 2015, and he signed a record deal with Sony Music in January 2016. He then established the record label Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), which signed Dremo, Mayorkun, Peruzzi, and Liya. Davido signed a record deal with Sony's RCA Records in July 2016. In October 2016, he released the 5-track EP Son of Mercy, which was supported by the singles "Gbagbe Oshi", "How Long" and "Coolest Kid in Africa". In April 2017, Davido re-negotiated his contract with Sony due to creative control issues and later that year he released five singles including "If" and "Fall". "If" sparked massive social media activity around the world, while "Fall" became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history. Davido has been famously referred to as 'The king of modern-day afrobeats'.

David Adedeji Adeleke was born in Atlanta, Georgia on November 21, 1992. Adedeji Adeleke, his father, is a business magnate, and his mother, Vero Adeleke, is a university lecturer. Davido is the youngest of five siblings and the second son of his father. He attended the British International School in Lagos before returning to the United States at the age of 16 to study business administration at Oakwood University in Alabama.

Davido bought musical equipment while at Oakwood and started making beats. He also formed the music group KB International with his cousins B-Red and Sina Rambo. Davido left Oakwood University to pursue music full-time and moved to London to work on his vocals. Davido paused his music career after returning to Nigeria in 2011 and agreed to honor his father by enrolling at Babcock University. After his father paid the university to establish a music department for an inaugural class of one student, he graduated from Babcock in July 2015 with a degree in music.
