Seyi Shay, a Nigerian singer, has made her first public appearance with her baby, Ajoke, months after welcoming her first child.
According to Naija News, the mother of one took her daughter to London for her performance at the Soul Royalty Festival.
Seyi gushed about the outing on her Instagram story, writing, "My daughter is going to have so many great stories to tell."
A few months after sharing her motherhood journey, the singer made her first public appearance with her daughter.
Seyi Shay, who had a public feud with her colleague Tiwa Savage, had shared a video of her pregnancy journey until delivery day on her verified Instagram page.
She also revealed that she has spent her entire life staring at her jewel, Ajoke, Oluwaseyi, Olarenwaju, AKA IssaLove, and is constantly amazed at the source of creation.
"Hmmm, Where do I start?," wrote Seyi Shay. Of course, I must first praise the Most High, the origin of creation, the architect of the cosmos, OUR GOD, for such a lovely gift.
Every day as I gaze at this jewel, I find myself in awe, wondering, "Did we really do that?'"
Deborah Oluwaseyi Joshua, also known as Seyi Shay (pronounced Shay-yee Shay), is a Nigerian actress, singer, and songwriter. She was born Oluwaseyi Joshua on December 21, 1985. For the Crime Life: Gang Wars soundtrack by Konami, she wrote and produced three songs (2005). She also contributed to the song "You Will See," which appears on Melanie C's third studio album, Beautiful Intentions (2005). "White Lies," a song from Chip's Transition album, was written by Shay. She assumed the role of lead vocalist for the now-disbanded pop girl group From Above in 2008. The group was under the management of Mathew Knowles' Music World Entertainment company and signed a recording contract with Sony's Columbia Records. [6] Shay signed an endorsement agreement with the telecom company Etisalat in November 2013. She inked a record deal with Island Records in July 2015. She agreed to a two-year endorsement deal with Pepsi in 2015. Seyi or Shay, Shay's debut studio album, was released in November 2015. The promotional singles "Irawo," "Ragga Ragga," "Right Now," and "Murda," featuring Patoranking and Shaydee, provided support. She inked a publishing agreement with the Universal Music Publishing Group France division in January 2021, working together with Universal Music France.
Shay was born and raised by Nigerian parents in Tottenham, London, England. Her father is an Ife native, while her mother is from Northern Nigeria. She has an older sister and two older brothers. Her single mother raised her and her siblings. Shay was raised in a Christian household. Since she is the only child of her mother and father, she frequently felt like a single child during her adolescence. She began traveling to Nigeria when she was two years old and eventually enrolled at Maryland's Command High School in Lagos. She returned to London to finish her undergraduate degree at the University of East London, which she also attended and from which she received a BA Hons in Music Business Management. Her interest in music was influenced by members of her household. Her brother was a well-known club and radio DJ in London, her sister used to write songs for the BBC, and her late mother was a chorister. At age 6, Shay joined the choir at her high school and began singing. During the London Community Gospel Choir's world tour, which included 13 cities in Japan, she gave a performance for the group. Thisday's Lanre Odukoya conducted an interview with Shay, who revealed that her mother wasn't a fervent advocate for her musical aspirations. Her mother also wished for her to pursue a career as a doctor or lawyer. Her mother advised her to put God first and concentrate on her music career before leaving this world.
