‘If he lays his hands on me, the marriage over’ – Ooni of ife’s third wife, Queen Tobi Phillips opens up

 

Queen Tobi Phillips, the third wife of Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, has revealed her deal breaker in their marriage.

Phillips, who won the title of World Miss University Africa (WMUA) in 2012, stated in an interview with TVC that she would not tolerate domestic violence from her man.

Tobi Phillips, one of the new queens, stated that her deal breaker with the Ooni of Ife would be whenever he raised his hands on her.

"My deal breaker is that you never touch me. If that happens, the game is over. And he (the Ooni of Ife) is not like that. If you and your partner can communicate and share your likes and dislikes, and you respect each other. That way, you won't get to the point where you're fighting. Because you can easily call your husband and say, 'I don't like this,' and vice versa when something happens."

Further, the queen revealed that, despite being a fantastic cook, she does not cook for her husband.

"I enjoy cooking. I only cook for myself. I am an excellent cook, but he has a chef. I don't prepare meals for him."

Tobi Phillips had previously broken her silence since marrying the highly revered Yoruba monarch.

The most recent Queen took to Instagram to share stunning photos of herself, and she marked the occasion with her first official statement.

Queen Tobi Phillips thanked the public for their patience during her wedding to Ooni in the post, and she also thanked everyone for their well wishes.

She went on to say that she is adjusting to her new role as the wife of a king, and that the only constant in life is change.

"Grace, Gratitude, and Glamour. Change is unavoidable.... Thank you so much for your understanding and good wishes... "We're in transition," she wrote.

On Sunday, October 9th, Ooni of Ife married his ex-beauty queen lover, Tobi Phillips, as his third wife.
