Shehu Nadada, the commissioner of the Katsina State Police, gave checks totaling N54,532,909.32 to the surviving relatives of the state's fallen police men on Friday. Under the Inspector-General of Police Group Life Assurance Scheme, the gesture was made. Speaking on behalf of the IGP, the commissioner advised the recipients present at the presentation at the Katsina Police command headquarters to put the funds to their appropriate uses. He also praised the IGP for his kindness. Nadada assured that the police would not relent in its welfare scheme for its personnel and also take care of the families of those who die on active duty.

”I wish to express my profound gratitude to the Almighty Allah and then to the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, psc+, NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, for his magnanimity and compassion to the families and next of kin of deceased police officers, who have sacrificed their lives fighting for the peace and progress of our dear nation. "The Nigeria Police Force's officers and men are very important to the Inspector-General of Police. As a result of this enormous step, I am presenting checks totaling N54,532,909:32K to the families and next of kin of deceased police officers who passed away while actively serving their country on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police. These funds were provided by the "Group Life Assurance Scheme." "I kindly request that the beneficiaries use the funds wisely to benefit the families of the dead policemen. I ask the Almighty God to grant the departed police officers' souls eternal rest in paradise.

"I would like to use this chance to reassure the public, especially those living in frontline areas, that the Nigeria Police Force and other security organizations are vigilant and unyielding in their pursuit of terrorists in the state.

"I want to ask for your support and cooperation in the current campaign because without it, the security agencies won't be able to get the intended outcomes.

” I urge members of the communities to come forward and give out useful information to the security agencies about any person or group of persons suspected to be terrorists or their informants. Any information given will be treated with utmost confidentiality, please,” a statement by the Command’s Spokesman, Gambo Isah, quoted the commissioner as saying at the presentation of the cheques to the beneficiaries on Friday.
