Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor’s wife absence at church events spurs fresh divorce rumors

 Since news of the former CAN president, Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor and his wife, Helen, disolving their marriage spread, the duo has become the center of attention. Social media users noted Mrs. Helen Oritsejafor, affectionately known as Mama Helen by churchgoers, had been noticeably absent from several of the festivities. Helen had been skipping a lot of church events before hearing the heartbreaking news, especially the week-long commemoration of her husband's 50th anniversary as a clergyman in November 2022. Recall that several clergyman including Pastor Adegboye and his wife attended the extravagant ceremony. Mrs. Oritsejafor, who frequently sat next to her husband in the pulpit, was not there at the occasion and hasn't been attending church events. Mrs. Oritsejafor was on Facebook during his birthday celebrations, leading her daily live prayer sessions that she refers to as "Command The Day." Her absence was also noted on the flyer promoting the church event in November.

The biological brother of Mrs. Oritsejafor, Opeyemi Falegan, dispelled the divorce rumors in a statement. He declared that it is not just repugnant but also abhorrent and wholly unacceptable to associate the family name with adultery. As the wife of the Church's founder and affectionately referred to as Mama Helen Oritsejafor, she previously oversaw administrative responsibilities and ruled supremely. On the condition of anonymity, numerous churchgoers said that recently, "Mama" had been regularly physically assaulting Papa Ayo Oritsejafor.
