Yemi Sonde, the chairman of the Yemi Sonde Media Group and owner of the well-known radio station YES FM, has pleaded with the public for help because he is being threatened with a video of himself in a bra. Sonde said that the blackmailer had his naked videos in a statement he released on Tuesday, December 13, 2022. Yemi stated that the blackmailer, who identified himself as being from Cote D'Ivoire, gave him a video of him by himself in his bedroom and constantly requested payments ranging from N500,000 to N1,500,000 to get it off social media. With the use of the aforementioned video, the blackmailer also got in touch with a few of the broadcaster's acquaintances, pleading with them to persuade Sonde to pay the ransom or risk having his name exposed.
Sonde added that the blackmailer threatened to post the tapes on social media in order to humiliate him, his family, and his businesses and demanded payment immediately if the broadcaster wanted to delete them. Yemi said, however, that he had instructed the threat-maker to go through with his demand since he would not give his hard-earned money to any blackmailer. The declaration reads, “I am issuing this release to let Nigerians know that some powerful individuals who are bent on destroying me have orchestrated this blackmail. I don’t know what I did to necessitate this but I know that they will fail,”
“I suspect some high net-worth individuals in society who got the blackmailer to go after me, having hitherto sworn to take me down.”
Raphael Niyi, an actor, had called out in similar news about a blackmailer who intended to reveal his naked tapes. The actor claimed that a particular man had been calling him nonstop and trying to blackmail him by releasing his nude tapes to the world unless he paid him a significant sum of money. Niyi, who admitted to having several nude tapes, defended his behavior by claiming that it is very simple to make mistakes in his line of business and that his wife is aware of it. The actor claimed that the blackmailer had been pursuing him for the previous three days and that he was not prepared to give him any money. He urged the general people to keep an eye out for the footage in his appeal. If the blackmailer decided to go ahead and distribute the tape, he felt that they shouldn't be caught off guard.
