Kemi Adetiba, an award-winning director, has promised another sequel to her successful film, King of Boys, often known as KOB.
Kemi Adetiba, who is organizing the final phase of her wedding, stated on her Instagram page that production for King of Boys 3 has already begun.
Kemi Adetiba indicated that KOB 3 will be a wild journey by sharing a snapshot of herself, Sola Sobowale, and Seun Kuti.
"I just want you to know...
That KOB is going to be a WIIIIILLLLLLLDDDDD RIIIIIIIIIDE!!".
Last year, Kemi Adetiba and the stars of the newly produced film 'King of Boys 2' (KOB) were overjoyed when it was announced that it would air on the renowned online app visuals known as Netflix.
She shared a snapshot of the billboard advertisement and explained how she became unwell seven months before the creation of KOB 2 and had to work her tail off to make it happen.
She went on to say that filming is not as simple as it appears on screen. However, she thanked everyone who helped make the film a success, without leaving any stone untouched.
She stated:
"Please disregard whatever bravado I've displayed on this app. This morning, I cried ugly, happy tears. I'm talking about snorting happy tears. I then went on a twenty-minute video call with @solasobowale, during which we both cried. This is the stuff that dreams are built of. A great deal of effort has gone into this.
After nearly dying last year and going directly from the hospital (after being unwell for nearly 7 months) to the KOB 2 set six weeks later... This feels like a fantasy that almost didn't come true. That the devil attempted to take.
Filmmaking is one of the most difficult jobs. Don't let anyone convince you otherwise. PEPPER is visible even to the guy handling cables on set. But it's moments like this that make it all worthwhile".
Sola Sobowale claimed she almost gave up working on KOB before and throughout the 'King Of Boy' sequel production.
In an interview with PulseNG, Sola stated that when Kemi Adetiba called her regarding the movie production, she declined, stating that she had touched every aspect of the film and that there was nothing else to write about the story.
Sola Sobowale stated that despite not having seen the script, Kemi Adetiba made her nervous, given the caliber of the previous film. As a result, she was concerned about how she would outperform the first production.
In her words: Kemi said she wanted to do another one, and I replied, kemi..what is it that you want to write again since I thought you reached all corners. I thought you had touched every stone, so what are you writing now? Kemi.
Then she [kemi] said, "ooh aunty sola, you have to do this," Kemi called every day.
Kemi made me nervous without even reading the script. What exactly do you want me to do again? How am I going to surpass? K.O.B part one has already established a high standard, so how do I meet it?
And she kept repeating in my head every time my phone rang, aunty sola, you have to do this, you simply have to, and I said, okay, I'll call you later. What the hell are you doing to me, Kemi? I then inquired for the script…".
