My coworkers rely on Babalawos - Remi Surutu blows hot with the absence of celebrities at her mother's funeral

 Many of the Yoruba movie industry's competitors, according to actress Remi Surutu, rely on Babalawos to succeed. The actress Remi Surutu emphasized that she was raised by her late mother to exclusively rely on God when speaking during her mother's burial, which was conducted in December in Lagos.

“It’s only God I have and depend on, while some of my colleagues depend on Babalawos, my mother taught us the way of God and I’m walking in that path today”

Aside from actor Yomi Fabiyi, who attended the funeral in honor of the legendary actress, many other famous people were noticeably absent. Remi Surutu was left to bury her deceased mother alone, accompanied only by a small number of friends and family members because none of her business associates turned up. Wumi Toriola and Funke Etti, two Nollywood actresses, have apologized sincerely for missing Remi Surutu's mother's funeral to their senior colleague.

Remi Surutu's mother, 101, passed away in May 2022. Wumi asked her followers to help her beg the actress on Instagram. She admitted that she hasn't answered Remi Surutu's calls out of fear that the actress may retaliate against her.

“I missed @therealremisurutu mum’s burial and I couldn’t even pick call cos I nor wan hear shege. Pls help me apologize to her and tell her I love her”.

Taking to Wumi’s comment section, Funke Etti also apologised to Remi Surutu over her absence a the funeral.

“We plenty, my lovely big sis, e jor pardon wunmi and me too”.
