Luchy Donalds, a Nollywood actress, has turned to social media to denounce a friend who previously embezzled N1.5 million from her for cosmetic surgery rather than a kidney transplant and stole $2,000.
The actress went into great detail on her Instagram page about how her anonymous friend came to ask for donations, saying that her mother needed a kidney transplant and that she felt pressured to assist even though she didn't have much.
A recording of the buddy pleading and swearing on her mother's life for the loan was also made available by Luchy Donalds.
She claimed that the acquaintance had previously broken into her home and taken $2,000 from her, but she had forgiven the woman because they were "friends" at the time.
She penned:
"People are really, very, very evil, and this one harmed me a lot. I asked this girl how much did the hospital ask for the transplant and she said 7.5 million naira but she has raised 6 million, leaving 1.5 million, so I told her she will hear from me, not up to 30 minutes after I got off the phone with her. I then sent her the complete 1 million naira donation request. My friend has been in my first year of university and called me crying about her mother having kidney problems and needing a transplant. She wept that her mother does not even recognize her again.
I recently learned that this girl used my money to go and get body surgery for her ass and arms. I don't have a lot of money, but with the little I do have, I helped a friend save the life of her fictitious mother before realizing she was playing me. She used me as her local client because this is the job that she hired me, which brings me to another painful part of the story.
I was hurt when this girl stole $2,000 (two thousand dollars) from me while she was living in my house four or five years ago. She took it from my handbag, but I eventually forgave her. Three years later, she opened a business, and I continued to support her and even offered to advertise it on my page for free. I still occasionally give her money, and whenever I go on vacation, I buy something for her.
I contacted her yesterday and asked if she had done anything to her body. She lied to me, but her closest friend had already told me the truth. I also have videos and images, but I won't upload them or reveal her identity for God's sake.
When she called and was lying with her mother's life, her friend who was with her that day was recording her; slide to hear the voice note.
When most were busy saving money for Christmas on November 25, I used my own money to save a friend's mother's life.
I usually lend a hand in a quiet way outside of social media, but is this horrible deed not disheartening? Can I once more readily believe such tales from anyone?
