Arewa Group pledges to support Tinubu vigorously in the North.

 According to the Arewa New Agenda, the north will back the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu heavily in the upcoming election on February 25. (ANA). Senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi, the convener and leader of the ANA, spoke with reporters in Abuja on the election's political environment. Despite the north's support for northern candidates in 2015 and 2019, he ridiculed the idea that they wouldn't support Tinubu. MoAllahyidi stressed that, like the South West in the last two election cycles, the north has consistently maintained its word and is a staunch supporter of the APC.

He mentioned the triumph of the People's Democratic Party under former president Olusegun Obasanjo in the 1999 and 2003 elections as evidence of northern support. The ANA Leader further pointed out that, with a large portion of these votes coming from the north, Tinubu received 1,271 more votes than half of the total votes cast in the convention. He claimed that Tinubu had traveled to various northern states, made policy commitments, and pledged to be answerable to the region's residents if elected president.

In light of Tinubu's prior accomplishments and track record, MoAllahyidi indicated that the north is at ease with him and will support him strongly in the 2023 presidential election, just as the north has previously supported northern presidential candidates when Tinubu has done the same.
