Naira Redesign: Buhari Admits, "I Want To Remove Money From Politics"

 President Muhammadu Buhari has acknowledged that limiting the use of money during the election season is part of his strategy for approving the redesign of the Naira notes. During a nationwide broadcast on Thursday morning, Buhari said this. He said Nigerians ought to cast their votes on February 25 for the candidate of their choice.

"Dear fellow people, on February 25, 2023, the country will elect a new President and members of the National Assembly.

"I am aware that this new monetary strategy has also made a significant contribution to reducing the role of money in politics.

In order to establish a solid foundation for free and fair elections, Buhari remarked, "This is a positive break from the past and constitutes a bold legacy step by this administration."
