Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, a promising artist, has disclosed why he gets in brawls on social media.
Portable told Timi Agbaje, an actor who also operates a street vox pop, that he engages in brawls because he doesn't want people to continue stealing his hard-earned money.
When Timi Agbaje questioned him why he often fights online, Portable reacted with a question: "dem don rip you before? "Dem don rip me," Timi answered. "As dem riP you, you no talk?" the singer continued. "I no talk," Timi said. Portable arrived at his conclusion by saying, "na him make dem dey rip you dey go ma soro (don't talk!).
Portable, who is known for his comical way of speaking and turning everything into a song, began a song based on the interview question.
Portable rose to prominence following the release of his single "Zazu Zeh" in December 2021, in which he collaborated with rapper, musician, and composer Olamide and dancer Iwe Pascal, better known as Poco Lee.
Portable got into trouble when he accused Poco Lee of stealing his money and tune. Portable called out Poco Lee in a series of videos that went popular on social media for taking the money that award-winning musician Wizkid sprayed on him during his performance with Olamide at Livespot X Festival.
Portable also accused Poco Lee, who allegedly introduced him to Olamide, of copying his music after it was revealed that "Zazu Zeh" was released on Poco Lee's Spotify account.
Portable's popularity grew as a result of the drama and various videos he shared on social media, as well as his feud with his then-manager and worldwide event promoter, Olasunkanmi Quadri Taoreed, also known as Kogbagidi. While some of his battles with Kogbagidi were fabricated to advertise the Portable, he was later fired for his continuous claims that Pocolee stole his money.
Portable was also upset with his senior colleague, Adekunle Temitope, also known as Small Doctor, for attempting to match him up with some hazardous youths. The former claimed that Small Doctor once recruited thugs to ambush him in order to portray himself as Portable's savior.
Taking things to the next level, Portable cursed Small Doctor for being overly haughty, stingy, and ungrateful. The father of four made fun of his colleague's inexperience in the industry and lack of a hit track.
Portable cursed Small Doctor for never extending his renown to other new artists and for trying to utilize him to establish a name for himself. This isn't the first time the two singers have clashed.
Portable reportedly chastised the video director for the high fees he charged him for his music video.
Portable vented on Instagram, revealing that the professional video director had charged him $50,000 to direct the music video for his diss tune on Apostle Suleman.
Portable wondered whether Omori wasn't the same person who shot the 'Zazoo' music video but didn't charge the absurd amount. The father of four informed the director that there are several video directors eager to direct his videos at free cost.
The Zazoo crooner wondered if he was being patronized by dead people and ritualists, claiming that the music industry had a caucus.
Portable vowed to shoot the video without him, citing how his assistant would not be bothered to assist him.
"No, but you shot a Zazoo video, and I said let me meet you. A lot of individuals want to film video for me. I'm not feeling well, and you have no idea how upset I am. $50,000 as a result of what? I suffer from insanity.
The folks shooting video from you are either dead people or ritualists. Jesus, you moan. Cacus exists in industry. Do you want me to perform a ritual? Is it the equipment you use to film videos for Asake and Olamide? Who is going to help me and who is going to stress me out? I hope to achieve that level one day. I'm going to shoot that video without you".
TG Omori responded on Twitter, telling everyone close to the artist to inform him that he shot 'Zazoo' for free.
He emphasized how he shot the video for free and still remained silent about it.
TG Omori mocked Portable for having a video without knowing how it was shot. Nonetheless, he is chastising him for a lower price.
"Please inform Portable Zazoo that this is a free video. Did it without saying anything. Bruh has a video and has no idea how it came to be. But he's calling me out for a lower price.
