Why I Do Not Support Feminism Ini Edo, an actress, reveals

Nollywood star Ini Edo has explained why she doesn't identify as a feminist. Ini Edo said she is not a feminist since she was brought up to respect and value men in an interview on the Tea with Taypod podcast. She is a regimented person even though she loves to defend women's rights and believes in the need for equality. According to Ini Edo, who is comfortable with being a queen and a lady, she isn't competing with some of her colleagues for the title of King.

She said, “Being a feminist means different thing to different people.

I love to protect women’s rights and I feel the need for equality, but I am also a structured person.

I have been raised a certain way. I am raised to respect and value men.

I want to be a woman and also want to be able to be a queen. I am not struggling for the King’s position. I am comfortable being a queen as long as there is nothing hovering my crown”.

Big Brother Naija reality personality Erica Nlewedim is a proud feminist, in contrast to Ini Edo who does not identify as a feminist. Potential suitors had received a communication from Erica Nlewedim. She declared that since she is a feminine feminist, the first thing she would ask her date is if he had any issues with feminism. Erica claims that only love has the power to tame her.

“First date question: Do you have a problem with feminists? Cos I’m a feminine feminist. Only love can make me submissive”.

A Twitter user had tackled her, questioning if feminists can’t be submissive.

“And is not being submissive feminism?”.

Erica instructed him, saying you can't expect everyone to submit. You don't have the right to demand submission from other people, she said. Erica observed that because they are "Male," guys expect surrender from the opposing g3nder. Erica would willingly submit if she was given the opportunity.
