Patience Ozokwor, a famous Nollywood actress known as Mama G, has remarked that living in the country's most populated states, such as Lagos or Abuja, would not ensure success in the film industry.
According to reports, the actress made the statement on Tuesday night in Enugu at the light procession night in memory of Madam Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, the late Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Africa Movie Academy Awards.
According to Patience, several of her colleagues began their careers in Enugu State before moving on to become stars in Abuja and Lagos.
The thespian, on the other hand, claimed that she would stay in the village and would confidently tell everyone who asked that she was from the village if she traveled outside of Enugu.
Patience According to Ozokwor, if an actor or actress is talented, he or she does not need to migrate in order to become a star.
She stated:
But I told them I was going to stay in Enugu, inside the village, and that when I went to Lagos, I would tell them I was a village woman.
I live in Ngwo, Enugu State's Udi Local Government Area, and God has shown me that you may become a star from anywhere.
If you are good enough, they will call you even if you are not in Lagos or Abuja.
She went on to say that she had won the Member Federal Republic award as well as the Centenary Award, which is presented every 100 years.
In her own words:
I had no idea who put my name up, so you might be chosen from anywhere. That is the statement I wanted to make in this sector, and I am glad I can say it now.
