Simi, a singer, describes her trauma at the Lagos passport office because of impure clothing.

 Simi Kosoko, a Grammy-winning musician from Nigeria, described her recent experience in a Lagos passport office. In a video posted on her Instagram page, Adekunle Gold's wife described how her appearance almost cost her entry into a passport office. Simi said that she was instructed to go home and change before being allowed inside. Even being a celebrity didn't assist her because the officials are still quite particular about her clothing.

Simi noted that she had to remove her earring and nosepiece as well.

She said, “I went to the passport office to get my passport done and when I reached the gate, they said I should go back because I am indecently dressed.“

I look myself up to down, and asked, can you see anything in my body that is indecent? He said he cannot see, but I should go back and wear something more ‘down’.” she wrote.

In a video that quickly became popular, the Mavins singer revealed her uncomfortable encounter with the Nigerian passport office. The 'Rush' singer bemoaned being told to pluck out her eyelashes. Before attending to her, the celebrity claims that the officials instructed her to remove her eyelashes. Ayra Starr pledged never to forgive the officers after the incident.

Bolanle Ninalowo, an actor, had a better encounter when he went to the immigration office in Lagos. While getting his passport, the screen deity enthused about the friendly greeting he received at the office. Bolanle was enthusiastically greeted by the immigration officers. They showed him around the important offices, shot photos and films of him, and helped him feel quite at ease.
